The legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is the first “Hand Ambassador” for the Savlon Swasth India Campaign. Tendulkar is the new “Hand Ambassador” to encourage others to wash their hands properly.
Routine handwashing is one of the easiest, most efficient methods to limit the spread of illnesses. Preventable infections place a significant economic burden on the nation. With Tendulkar serving as its Hand Ambassador, Savlon Swasth India Mission advances in its mission to promote a hand hygiene culture for a healthier country.
The campaign, which Ogilvy India conceptualised, consists of several films that take a novel approach by making Tendulkar’s Hand the main character. On the whole, Tendulkar’s Hand serves as the campaign’s spokesperson, emphasising the significance of hand hygiene and gently reminding viewers to wash their hands.
ITC Divisional Chief Executive, Personal Care Products Business Sameer Satpathy stated, “Washing hands with soap or handwash is an essential component of daily hygiene that promotes good health.
For children, in particular, and society to develop healthy habits, require constant focus and participation. Leading the way in supporting this shift in hand hygiene practice has been Savlon Swasth India Mission. Furthermore, as the “Hand Ambassador” for Savlon Swasth India Mission, Sachin, who has long advocated strongly for this practice, joins us with great pleasure.
Tendulkar’s Remarks:
“Hand hygiene has a crucial part to play in creating a healthy nation,” remarked Tendulkar. I’ve been actively interested in it for several years. I was thrilled at the prospect of lending my hand—quite literally—to this campaign when the Savlon Swasth India Mission team provided a distinctive and entertaining manner of raising awareness about this important subject. Moreover, the campaign has been a delight to work on. We all collectively hope these compelling movies influence behaviour and encourage proper hand hygiene.
Ogilvy India’s Chief Creative Officers Harshad Rajadhyaksha and Kainaz Karmakar stated, “Finally, It takes an extremely daring client to sign a great personality and never reveal him.
